About Ben:
Ben Duskin is an enthusiastic gamer. Early during his treatment, his doctor suggested he find ways to visualize his body healing.  Ben and his mother talked about imagining his medicine as a Pac Man video game, eating the cancer cells. This became the catalyst for “Ben’s Game,” which became a reality in June 2004.

In September 2004, Ben and his family discovered that his leukemia had relapsed.  After months of treatment Ben received a bone marrow transplant and is now doing well.  He continues to receive well-wishes from his fans through our website.

In 2004 Make-A-Wish was invited to nominate Ben to meet the Dalai Lama as an "Unsung Hero for Compassion" because of his extraordinary empathy and generosity.  As a result Ben was honored in San Francisco by the Dalai Lama on November 6, 2005.  Ben is the youngest person to receive this honor.  Also honored was Eric Johnston, the video game designer from Lucas Arts who dedicated over seven months to making "Ben's Game" a reality.  This is extraordinary, having the generosity of these two amazing individuals so well-celebrated.

About Eric:
Eric Johnston is a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Director at LucasArts. He lives in San Francisco and has a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley. He began writing games for LucasArts in 1989. In addition to computer game programming, he has worked as an engineer at NASA, a stunt man, a television actor, and a flying trapeze instructor. His hobbies include quantum computation, flying trapeze, and spending as much time as possible with his wife Sue.
